Howdy [01 Oct 2003|11:16pm] Hmmm, finally have somewhere to post myself where it won't get buried under a pile of crap. I need to thank Mithrankittycat and Geckoagua for getting me my code so I could post for free and not reply Anonymous, which I refuse to do. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for things but I didn't like the reasons they give - a shining example of idiots ruining it for others. Live Journal seems pretty decent even if the constant "cannot display page" has been pissing me off no end, but that could be down to anything I guess. I was quite impressed by the depth of customization availible to and will no doubt be something I tweak with in the future. I decided to go with white on black (no pun intended) for a reason I will leave to a quote. "Your monitor is not a piece of paper, no matter how hard you try to make it one. Staring at a white background while you read is like staring at a light bulb (don't believe me? Try turning off the lights next time you use a word processor). Would you stare at a light bulb for hours at a time? Not if you want to keep your vision." So primarily this journal will be used to record my day-to-day life in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy XI. I know SnAPPLE (Kittycat) has his beta journal and, judging by his friendlist, so do a lot of other people. Reading an importers journal would give you a different insight into the game and will help pass the time when your beta, sadly, ends on October 14th.
