BCNM40's again [02 Oct 2003|04:51am] Well now our set party has hit 40 we decided to carry out our BCNM plan we have had tucked away since Day 0. BCNM 40 are very easy if you know what you're doing, and previous to this I had won 6/6 with another group so it was kinda my job to advise everyone on what to do. Also, I was again put in charge of the money which, surprising as it sounds, is a pretty tough job. We decided to do three in one night, three another. Six should always be the standard ammount you do, one person takes all items, sells them and then splits it all equally at the end. A mule for the "banker" is a must. The first two went very well though we got the worst possible combination of items dropped. Again, the second victory yielded drops that were not much better but, meh, it's reasonably easy money and extremely fun. The way we all see it is as another form of farming for minimal input instead of crying about how Refresh used to cost 1Million Gil and now sells for 30-50k. Considering that in the first battle we survived 2-3 floods we should be happy that we still came out with something as a lesser group of people would've panicked and ran for the hills. The key to doing well in BCNM is to not panic and knowing where to draw the line at everything. The third one we lost. Straight away our Bard wasn't able to Lullaby them all because our Paladin was unsuccessful in grouping them all up together. Noone was totally at fault for this and I have to salute the whole group for doing so brilliantly on their first BCNM's. I was the only one who managed to get out of the circle so we had to wait for the corpses to be booted out before I could get the Raise and Raise 2's going. So, Friday is the return to Giddeus where things should go smoother. Everyone now has experience in this and we thought of a tactic or two to get the white mando's bunched together easier. Decisions, decisions [02 Oct 2003|11:42pm] I decided not to go on FFXI tonight as once i'm in "BCNM Mode" I don't like to get out of it. Theres also my horrible space management problems to consider so a lot of my Dark Knight's and White Mage's essential items are sitting on my mule. Just so much hassle for doing something that would no doubt be minor. Today I decided to carry on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which has been eating a huge chunk of my time lately. KotOR it's by far one of the best game's i've ever played but I stupidly throw that tag around way to much for it to usually mean anything. Oh well, a BioWare RPG made specifically for the Xbox and set in the non-Skywalker Star Wars universe is like a dream game. This is kind of my second time through it as my Xbox decided to give up the will to live 6 hours into my original one. One week later it returns to me fixed, all saves lost... bastards. But he who laughs last, laughs loudest - it now plays CD-R's. Dumbasses. Well more BCNM goodness tommorow and possibly some leveling. post comment
